With funding from private individuals and foundations, we are now in the final days of planning for our East Africa phage training program.

In her talk at the 2017 International Evergreen Phage Conference, Dr. Nagel discussed details of the first East Africa Phage Workshop.

This summer 25 scientists from Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda gathered at Makerere University in Uganda for our 2-week laboratory workshop. These participants learned how to use phages as natural antibacterial agents against antibiotic-resistant bacteria in their region.

It has been 3 months since our East Africa Phage Workshop, so we've gathered the first quarterly impact data – and it's impressive!
